Cementing & Completion Tools Technical FAQ

Find technical specifications, compliance details, and engineering solutions for shangshanpetro  high-performance downhole cementing tools and liner hanger systems.

How do your bow-spring centralizers balance restoring force and starting force in highly deviated or horizontal wells?

Our bow-spring centralizers are engineered and tested strictly in accordance with API Spec 10D. By utilizing premium heat-treated spring steel, they deliver a high restoring force to ensure optimum casing centralization while keeping the starting force well below API limits. This significantly reduces drag and the risk of differential sticking during casing running in horizontal intervals. For extreme tortuosity, we also provide one-piece solid rigid centralizers to maximize stand-off.

How does your mechanical/hydraulic stage collar prevent premature opening during high-flow-rate circulation?

Our stage cementing collars utilize a locking mechanism with precision-calibrated shear pins. The shear pressures are carefully calculated based on your mud density and well depth to prevent premature shearing during circulation or casing running. Additionally, the closing sleeve features a redundant triple-seal system to ensure long-term hydraulic isolation after completion.

How does your hydraulic liner hanger maximize standard-off and prevent premature setting in highly deviated wellbores?

Our hydraulic liner hangers are engineered with a pocketed slip design that ensures a flush profile during running in, maximizing wellbore clearance and eliminating the risk of premature setting caused by tight spots or tortuosity. The premium hydraulic cylinder incorporates calibrated shear screws to prevent accidental activation during high-rate circulation or reaming, ensuring the liner safely reaches the total depth (TD) before setting.

Are the internal valves of your float equipment PDC-drillable, and what is their back-pressure rating?

Yes, all internal components of our float shoes and float collars (including high-strength concrete and phenolic resin valves) are 100% PDC and rotary drillable, minimizing rig time during drill-out operations. The valves are designed to withstand back-pressures up to 5,000 psi (or customized up to 10,000 psi for HPHT wells) and have been tested for high-velocity erosion resistance under standard cement slurry pump rates.

Can your cementing plugs withstand high-temperature wells, and do they feature an anti-rotation design?

Our top and bottom cementing plugs are lined with high-performance Nitrile (NBR) or Viton rubber, capable of stable operation in downhole temperatures up to 300°F (149°C). To ensure efficient drill-out, we offer an anti-rotation locking mechanism that prevents the plugs from spinning with the drill bit, shortening the drill-out time by up to 50%.

What inflation mechanism does your Annular Casing Packer (ACP) use, and how do you ensure the element won't rupture during inflation?

Our Annular Casing Packers (ACP) feature a reliable cement/fluid-inflated mechanism equipped with a redundant dual-valve system to lock in the inflation pressure. The packer element is reinforced with high-strength, overlapping slats (continuous metal reinforcement) embedded in premium rubber. This structure allows the element to expand uniformly and conform perfectly to irregular wellbore geometries without rupturing, ensuring permanent annular sealing even under severe thermal cycling.
